Job summary

Aureate Group is seeking a Cafe Lead to partner with the Food Service Manager in Tampa to supervise cafe operations, deliver fast, friendly service, and uphold high standards for beverage and food quality in a welcoming, well-stocked store environment.

You will help manage inventory, training, safety compliance, and scheduling while driving profitability through consistent recipe execution and waste reduction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail deli or cafe experience.
• Basic knowledge of computers and POS system.
• Strong understanding of food service production planning and execution.
• ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily cafe operations to ensure fast, friendly service.
• Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, juices, smoothies, and light meals.
• Train and coach cafe team on service, safety, and cleanliness.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and food safety regulations.
• Maintain food handling, dating, and temperature controls.
• Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally.
• Ensure safe operation of ovens, slicers, juicers, coffee machines, scales, and other equipment.
• Assist with catering, prepared foods, and grab-and-go programs as needed.
• Review daily and weekly sales, cost, and waste reports for improvements.
