Ascension Coffee is seeking a Café Kitchen Manager to support the Café General Manager across hiring, training, scheduling, team leadership, inventory, profit and loss, hospitality, and food safety. This role requires at least 45 hours per week in the café and is not remote.

Salary will be commensurate with experience. The position emphasizes driving food quality and consistency, coaching BOH staff, managing cost controls, and ensuring standards align with brand leadership.

Qualifications

• Restaurant kitchen operations experience required.
• Food and Beverage Manager certification.
• Reliable transportation to travel to all locations.
• Able to work nights and weekends.
• Strong team building skills and clear communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and problem solving.
• High initiative and self-management; takes direction well.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (~8 hours).

Responsabilités

• Track kitchen financials: food cost, labor cost and inventory.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Oversee BOH operations and train/manage BOH team members.
• Drive financial success through leadership and coaching.
• Meet deadlines for ordering, inventory, invoices, and schedules.
• Uphold standards for food quality per recipes and build sheets.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure equipment works.
• Order food accurately to prevent waste and ensure availability.
• Implement Ascension Coffee standards as directed by Brand Leadership.
• Participate in special events including off-site catering.
• Be coachable and approachable; foster positive team dynamics.
• Contribute to an inclusive, quality-focused culture.
