Job summary

Fairway is seeking a Dishwasher to support the café by maintaining a clean kitchen and ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and equipment. You will set up dish stations, operate dish machines, and assist with food prep as needed, contributing to a high standard of cleanliness and efficiency.

The role requires the ability to read, write, and understand English, with physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and working in coolers and hot kitchen areas.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with all equipment used.
• Ability to learn and understand new programs and applications as job functionality evolves.
• Extensive standing and walking, bending, twisting and lifting.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to work in refrigerated coolers and high moisture content rooms.
• Must be able to work in high temperature kitchen areas.
• Ability to work with all ingredients without negative allergic consequences.
• Must tolerate dust and chemical fumes from cleaning agents.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean kitchen, washes and sorts dishes; preps foods as needed.
• Sets up dish stations, including machines and sinks.
• Maintains clean floors and organized dish area.
• Washes, stacks and stores china, glassware, and cookware.
• Keeps dry storage area organized and manages daily duties.
• Assists in food prep and other duties as directed by the chef.
• Contributes to quality of service and staff training opportunities.
