Join to apply for the Cafe Cook FT role at FREEDOM POINTE AT THE VILLAGES, LLC

Rose Senior Living Avon is recruiting for a hospitality-focused FT Cafe Cook to join our team! This position is responsible for full-scope, hands-on production cooking in the Community Culinary Services Department. The role involves maintaining a high level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.

This position has a set schedule: Tuesday-Friday 7am-3pm and Saturdays 9:30am-6pm.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization standards.
  • Adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards.
  • Producing and serving menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary requirements.
  • Exhibiting speed, accuracy, and efficiency in cooking.
  • Demonstrating knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production.
  • Assisting with serving meals and ware washing as needed.
  • Visiting residents to evaluate food quality and making operational improvements.
  • Representing the community positively to create a welcoming environment.
  • Supporting a culture focused on revenue and occupancy growth through engagement and decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Minimum of one year restaurant or senior living cooking experience
  • Ability to multitask by taking orders and cooking in a busy open cafe environment
