Daily Docket Café is seeking a dependable Café Cook to support breakfast and lunch operations in San Antonio. This role involves preparing food to spec, stocking service areas, and accurately cooking orders for dine-in, takeout, and online guests.

The position is cross-functional, with opportunities to run completed orders to guests and train in cashier and barista duties as needed. Prior food-service experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to prepare multiple menu items accurately in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking, sanitation, and storage procedures.
• Ability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong attention to food quality, ticket accuracy, cleanliness and portion control.
• Friendly, professional communication skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow recipes, procedures and manager instructions.
• Cross-train to support cashier and barista responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and menu items before service begins.
• Cook breakfast and lunch orders for dine-in, takeout, and online orders.
• Stock and rotate food and supplies using FIFO.
• Read and complete guest orders accurately within service times.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and deep-cleaning tasks.
