Position Purpose

The counter attendant/barista is responsible for greeting guests, handling the counter, and providing requested items efficiently and courteously.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests and answer questions about products and displayed items.
• Pack and serve requested items accurately.
• Ensure proper checkout procedures and maintain correct inventory levels following FIFO principles.
• Keep the counter and display area clean and organized throughout the shift.
• Complete closing checklists and manage cash handling responsibly.
• Maintain health and safety standards, including proper food labeling and cleaning routines.
• Restock items as needed and prepare packing materials.
• Report any equipment issues to management immediately.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the counter area.

Minimum Requirements

• Strong teamwork, personal hygiene, and uniform standards.
• Basic food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills preferred.
• Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills in English for safety and customer interaction.
• Active listening, comprehension, and discipline in following standards.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
