Job summary

BLUESTAR RESORT & GOLF in Peoria, AZ seeks a Café Attendant to provide prompt service in the café or patio, with potential Barista training. The role reports to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager and involves greeting guests, answering questions, taking orders, and serving beverages and food.

Responsibilities include cash handling, maintaining sanitation, and working a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to three months related experience preferred.
• Must meet state and federal age requirements for serving alcohol, if applicable.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; calculate discounts and percentages.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memorandums.
• Ability to prepare beverages using bar equipment while engaging guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to contribute to a positive, productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve guests in an energetic, friendly way.
• Answer menu questions and make beverage suggestions from the coffee and smoothie menu.
• Take food and beverage orders and relay to kitchen.
• Prepare beverages following standard recipes and presentation techniques.
• Serve drinks and food to guests indoors or on the patio.
• Handle cash and card transactions and provide correct change.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and sanitation standards.
• Keep equipment clean and safely operating; report any repairs.
