The cafe team provides food preparation and fast, friendly service to members. The role focuses on preparing food, serving in the café, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for members.
Responsibilities
- Be a Team Member: maintain up-to-date knowledge of prepared food products; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively with the team; and adapt to the needs of the business to work in other areas as required.
- Be an Expert: prepare food according to item specifications; plan for future and seasonal productions; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; understand product and layout execution.
- Be a Techie: use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld technology to assist with production, ordering, receiving club pick-up orders, training, and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
- Be an Owner: drive area performance; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control; reduce waste; provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying needs; assist with purchasing decisions and resolving issues.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: act as a brand advocate; develop, influence, and inspire others to work in a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented way; assist in training and removing roadblocks.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; apply the Open Door Policy in business processes and practices.
- Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; set priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must successfully complete required trainings and assessments if selected. Availability to work as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Food Service experience; Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
