Job summary

Caesars Entertainment is seeking a casino Cashier in Waterloo, IA to handle ticket and chip cash transactions, maintain accurate cash drawers, and support multiple departments as needed.

Responsibilities include verifying IDs, following regulatory controls, promoting Caesars Rewards, and delivering excellent guest service while ensuring timely and secure cash handling throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash in a regulated environment.
• Ability to count and reconcile funds at shift end.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.

Responsibilities

• Cashes customer tickets and chips, provides correct change, and handles related cash transactions.
• Counts and records assigned funds and exchanges funds during the shift.
• Keeps cash drawer balanced and ensures casino funds are secure when not in use.
• Verifies and documents identification for check and cash advance transactions.
• Follows SOPs, SOX, internal controls, Iowa DCI and IRGC gaming regulations, and Title 31 compliance.
• Issues player cards for new/existing accounts and promotes Caesars Rewards Visa card.
• Provides information about casino events and promotions and redeems offers.
• Plans, organizes and completes work timely.
• Shows ownership, takes initiative and assists guests beyond expectations.
• Accepts feedback and coaching from supervisors.

Job description

Responsible for cashing customer tickets, chips, giving correct change, and other cash related transactions. Responsible for helping other departments as necessary with bill breaking, cash paid in/outs, and jackpots.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

• Responsible for accurately counting and recording assigned funds and making exchanges of funds throughout the shift.

• Must keep cash drawer balanced. Ensure that all casino funds are secured when not in use.

• Verifying and documenting personal identification information for check and cash advance transactions.

• Follow all company standard operating procedures, SOX, internal controls, Iowa DCI and IRGC gaming regulations, federal regulations (Title 31 compliance).

• Issues player cards for new and existing accounts while explaining benefits and other related perks associated with the players club.Encourage guests to sign up for the Caesars Rewards Visa card.

• Provide information about casino-related events and promotions. Redeem offers and provide promotional materials for guests.

• Plans, organizes and completes work timely
• Takes initiatives, shows ownership and goes above and beyond to assist guests with their needs
• Accepts feedback and coaching from supervisors
