Job summary

General Motors is seeking a CAE Engineer in Warren, MI to gather information from multiple sources, build analytical models, and interpret results for customers. You will lead development of new engineering analysis capabilities and work with Product Development on new designs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Automotive/Aerospace Engineering and 5 years of CAE experience with CAD, FEA tools, and vehicle-structure analyses. Hybrid work policy applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience as a CAE Engineer or related role.
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD modeling and FEA tools.

Responsibilities

• Gather information from various sources and build analytical models.
• Lead development of new engineering analysis capabilities.
• Create and execute FEA plans for assigned projects.
• Perform structural analysis on complete vehicle structures and components.
