Job summary

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA seeks a CAE Engineer II to join the Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. You will develop marine propellers and apply advanced analysis to design, evaluate existing products, and drive new concepts from proof of concept through production.

You will perform FEA, coordinate on-water testing, and implement CAE processes with a focus on CAD tools like SolidWorks, NX, and CAESES. Strong programming in MATLAB/C/C++, Python is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Marine Engineering; Master's/PhD preferred.
• 3+ years designing consumer or industrial products.
• 3+ years in marine product design preferred.
• Proven cross-functional team experience.
• Proven experience applying FEA to product development (NX Nastran/STAR-CCM+ preferred).
• Strong 3D CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, NX, CAESES).
• Experience or project work using optimization techniques preferred.
• Experience with CFD/FEA coupling (1-way and 2-way).
• Programming in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop marine propellers for outboard engines and other products through hydrodynamics, structural mechanics, and manufacturability analyses.
• Coordinate and plan on-water testing from concept to production.
• Develop and implement advanced CAE processes for marine design.
• Perform FEA to support product development on cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement and efficiency.

• Willingness to travel to Yamaha Motor Japan, suppliers, and testing sites as needed.
