Job summary

HDR is seeking a CADD Technician in Round Rock, TX to support our Transportation Business Group. You will perform discipline-specific drafting under supervision, creating drawings and maps using CAD software.

The role requires an Associate or technical degree or equivalent experience, familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation, and basic understanding of engineering concepts. HDR promotes an employee-owned culture and values collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Knowledge of standard CAD Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, workflows and deliverables.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform discipline specific drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professional
• Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided design software
• Perform other duties as needed
