Job summary

HDR is seeking a CADD Technician to contribute to our Water Business Group. You will prepare drawings and maps using AutoCAD and MicroStation, under the guidance of engineers and architects. Strong attention to detail and familiarity with engineering concepts are essential, along with a commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture. This full-time role requires relevant education or experience and a collaborative, detail-driven approach.

Qualifications

  • Associate or technical school degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) necessary.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills expected.
  • Understanding of engineering or architectural concepts and workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform discipline-specific drafting under supervision of an Architect/Engineer.
  • Prepare drawings, layouts, maps, and CAD representations of engineering designs.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of CADD Technician, we’ll count on you to:
  • Perform discipline specific drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professional
  • Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided design software
  • Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Knowledge of standard CAD Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, workflows and deliverables
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
