Job description

CADD / Survey Technician

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparation of survey plats and maps including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys, etc., while meeting the requirements of various agencies (e.g., VDOT, USACE, NAVFAC). Work assignments may vary depending on the office’s needs and will be communicated by the office manager. Responsibilities will also include project management, courthouse research, processing data collected by survey crews, preparing CAD files, construction staking calculations, and occasional field work. The candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision to complete projects with demanding scopes and schedules.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of surveying-related experience. (A Survey / CAD related degree from an accredited college, vocational/technical school, or military training may substitute for two years of experience.)
• Proficiency in Carlson, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and experience with MicroStation, GeoPak, and/or OpenRoads.
