Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a CADD Technician in the Bellevue, WA area to support highway and road design projects. You will draft and modify drawings under supervision, utilizing AutoCAD and MicroStation, with exposure to Open Roads Designer and Civil3D as preferred tools.

The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and collaboration within HDR's employee-owned culture. A technical degree and CAD proficiency are required, with opportunities to contribute to infrastructure projects across multiple

Qualifications

  • Associate or technical school degree or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc).
  • Familiarity with engineering workflows and deliverables.

In the role of CADD Technician, we'll count on you to:
  • Perform discipline specific drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professional
  • Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided design software
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Civil3d is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Knowledge of standard CAD Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, workflows and deliverables
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
