Job summary

Ridgeview Institute Monroe in Monroe, GA, seeks a Substance Abuse Counselor / Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess patients, provide social work services, crisis intervention, and family therapy to promote emotional health.

Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field is preferred; GA licensure is required, with a Master’s license preferred. Benefits include health, life, disability, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in social work or related field preferred; Master's preferred.
• Experience in dual diagnosis, 12-step programs and substance abuse.
• Substance abuse license/certificate as dictated by the State of Georgia; Master’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain substance abuse history.
• Document findings within 72 hours of admission.
• Document updates for significant changes or readmission within 30 days.
• Communicate findings in progress notes clearly and timely.
• Formulate a plan of care based on interdisciplinary assessments.
• Ensure treatment plans include measurable goals and actions.
