Ridgeview Institute Monroe is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor / CADC to address the bio-psycho-social needs of patients. The role involves assessment, crisis intervention, and providing social work services to support treatment goals within a hospital setting.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the treatment team, documentation accuracy, and development of measurable care plans to promote emotional health and recovery across adolescents, adults, and specialized programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field preferred.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Substance abuse license/certificate as dictated by Georgia or equivalent; Master’s License in Social Work or Counseling preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients to obtain substance abuse history.
  • Document findings in the integrated assessment within 72 hours of admission.
  • Document updates when there are significant changes or readmission within 30 days.
  • Communicate findings in progress notes clearly and timely.
  • Formulate a plan of care with measurable goals/objectives/interventions.
  • Update plans as goals are met or patient condition changes.
  • Ensure documentation in progress notes aligns with the treatment plan.

This position involves performing social services functions and guiding patients in accessing treatment skills to achieve optimal emotional health. Your responsibilities will include offering basic consultation, delivering specialized clinical social work services, crisis intervention, and conducting short-term and long-term family therapy.We are seeking a dedicated individual who can provide information and referrals as needed, contributing to the overall well-being of our patients and their families.
