Clarvida is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC) in Rutherfordton, NC, to join our behavioral health team. You will deliver evidence-based counseling, assess client needs, and plan relapse-prevention strategies in a community-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group counseling for clients in recovery
• Conduct screening, intake, orientation, and assessments to guide treatment plans
• Develop individualized treatment plans addressing substance use and co-occurring concerns
• Provide crisis intervention, case management, and client education
• Maintain accurate documentation according to agency and state standards
• Coordinate care with physicians, mental health professionals, and external resources
• Travel within assigned service areas to provide community-based support
