Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in substance abuse counseling.
• CADC credential required.
• State certification or licensure in substance abuse counseling.
• Knowledge of motivational interviewing and CBT approaches.
• Understanding trauma-informed care is preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments for adults with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
• Provide individual counseling using evidence-based approaches.
• Facilitate group counseling sessions in outpatient and community settings.
• Document client progress and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Coordinate referrals and connect clients with services.
• Provide case management and monitor recovery progress.
• Educate families about recovery and available support services.
