Aerotek in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Machine Operator to prepare and operate digital cutting machines, load materials, set tools, and ensure safety and precision in production. The role involves interpreting CAD drawings, maintaining equipment, and performing quality checks across 1st through 3rd shifts.

This Contract to Hire position is onsite with overtime opportunities and a pay range of $20.00–$30.00 per hour. Benefits may apply after eligibility.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience with CNC, laser cutting, or CAD tables.
• Previous experience with digital cutting machines is preferred.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate digital cutting machines, including loading materials and setting tools.
• Use Cut Queue software to retrieve and process digital cut files accurately.
• Monitor cutting processes, perform quality checks, and make adjustments to ensure product standards.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety protocols.
• Set correct machine parameters, speeds, feeds, and tooling for operations.
• Perform laser cutting and digital cutting operations.
• Interpret CAD files and production drawings to ensure material is loaded and positioned correctly.
• Verify finished product quality and accuracy, troubleshooting machine and cutting issues as needed.
• Follow production schedules and safety standards.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic manufacturing/production facility with multiple shifts available (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift). Opportunities for overtime and weekend work may be required. Engage in a hands‑on machine operation role in a fast‑paced environment with direct interaction with the Operations Manager. The role involves a one‑round interview process.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
