Job summary

Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is seeking an Architectural Project Manager / CAD Wizard to join our studio. You’ll lead the technical side of drawings, develop construction docs, and push CAD efficiency across retail and private development projects.

You’ll collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and project teams to create accurate documentation, establish CAD standards, and share shortcuts and templates to improve team performance while expanding your skill set across market sectors.

Qualifications

• Professional experience developing architectural drawings and construction documents.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and experience with Bluebeam.
• Experience with code studies, including ADA requirements and IBC.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate with consultants to keep projects moving smoothly.
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM is a plus and CAD power-user capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural drawings and construction documents from early concepts through construction.
• Translate sketches, concepts, site information, and design direction into accurate, coordinated drawings.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and other construction documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, and project teams to ensure consistency.
• Review drawings with a critical eye and improve CAD standards, templates, and workflows.
• Share CAD tricks, tips, and shortcuts with teammates and foster faster delivery without sacrificing quality.
