Job summary

SCG Fields, LLC is seeking a CAD Technician to develop and maintain detailed drawings and construction documentation to support project planning and field operations. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Design Professionals, and construction teams to translate concepts into precise 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD and related software.

Ideal candidates bring 1–5 years of CAD drafting experience, an associated or bachelor’s degree in a related field, and proficiency with Autodesk

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to develop, modify, and maintain accurate technical drawings.
• Ability to read, interpret, and translate construction drawings and technical specifications into detailed design documents.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and consistency.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, prioritizing multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication across departments and project teams.
• Willingness to learn new CAD technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, site plans, shop drawings using AutoCAD and design software.
• Translate concepts and engineering specs into accurate construction drawings.
• Collaborate with PMs, Engineers, and Construction teams to incorporate requirements into drawings.
• Review plans to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with specs.
• Prepare design documentation, revisions, and clarifications for field operations.
• Continuously improve drafting procedures and stay current with CAD standards.
