Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking a CAD Technician to join our engineering team in Fort Worth, TX.

You will create and modify drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD programs, produce accurate 3D models, and ensure deliverables meet project requirements for metal fabrication projects. Key responsibilities include collaborating with technicians and designers, reviewing client specs, maintaining drawings, and training staff on new CAD technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of AutoCAD design and drafting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication industry and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Create or modify drawings.
• Maintain and update repetitive drawings.
• Edit and revise drawings per WMI requirements.
• Create job sets and nests for production.
• Collaborate with technicians, architects, and designers on 3D models.
• Review design files against client specs and work orders.
• Monitor production progress of 3D rendering and documentation.

Summary

The CAD Technician will use computer-aided design softwareto make technical drawings. CAD Technician will use computer-aided designprograms to create an image, which may be displayed in three-dimensionalspace. We're looking for a CAD Technician who is highly skilled and hasexperience with a variety of CAD software programs. The ideal candidatewill be able to take on projects of all sizes and difficulty levels and will be able to work independently or as a part of a team.

Job Responsibilities

• Create ormodify drawings.
• Maintainand update repetitive drawings.
• Editand revise new drawings based on WMI requirements.
• Creating job sets and nests for the production team.
• Workclosely with other technicians, architects, and designers to develop andrevise 3D models ofstructures and features.
• Reviewdesign files of completed projects against client specifications and workorders to make necessary revisions.
• Monitorproduction progress to determine the efficiency of 3D rendering anddocumentation.
• Assistin training and educating design and modeling staff on new technologiesand best practices.
• Performday-to-day duties involved in generating and maintaining 3D CADmodels.
• CheckCAD drawn prints when no DXF/DWG is provided (verify it is correct)

Qualifications
