Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a drafting professional to prepare plans from engineering sketches and details for projects. The role involves MicroStation/AutoCAD drafting, plotting utilities, field survey support, and QA/QC computations.

Requires familiarity with subsurface designation methods and third-party drafting tools. 95% office work with occasional field tasks, opportunity for ESOP participation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Subsurface Utility Designation and/or Test Holes.
• Familiarity with third party software for data reduction and drafting, including Microstation and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Performs drafting in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Plot utilities and topographic mapping.
• Perform office survey activities in accordance with Minimum Standards of Practice for Surveying.
• Perform utility records research.
• Performs office computations necessary for the completion of task assignments including QA/QC.
• Prepares finished mapping products including SUE QL B, C, and D level mapping, topographic mapping, and other survey reports.
• Communicates the daily progress of the crew towards the project goals and/or accomplishments with the office staff.
