Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. is seeking a CAD Technician to provide drafting and design support for engineers on roads, residential and commercial projects, and schools. You will transform rough designs into working CAD documents and assist with notes, cover sheets, and redlines.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or GED, with 0-3 years of experience and exposure to AutoCADD. Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in our collaborative

Who we are looking for…

We are seeking a CAD Technician who will provide routine drafting and design support for Professional Engineer/Project Engineer during the planning and design of typical civil engineering projects such as roads, residential and commercial projects, and schools. The following skills will be required for this position:

• Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CADD) into working documents.
• Reviews and completes detailed notes, Cover Sheets, Basic redlines
• Obtain work assignments of either specific design elements or CADD drafting from Professional Engineer/Project Engineer with an allocated budget.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED. Associate’s degree or completion of a technical trade school in CADD, drafting or related field. 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
