Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a CAD Technician - SolidWorks Specialist in Brooklyn Center, MN to transform architectural visions into detailed, buildable models. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to move projects from concept to fabrication.

The ideal candidate holds an associate’s degree in architectural technology or engineering and 2–3 years of SolidWorks experience, with strong knowledge of architectural/structural drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in architectural technology, engineering, or equivalent CAD experience.
• 2–3 years of SolidWorks experience, especially with assemblies and weldments.
• Strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam Revu is a plus.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting architectural and structural drawings to capture design intent and attachment conditions.

Hours: 7am-4pm

What You’ll Do

As a CAD Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our design process, transforming architectural visions into detailed, buildable models using SolidWorks. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to bring projects from concept to fabrication.

Competitive Pay: $55,000-70,000 annually, dependent on skill set and experience
