Job summary

T&M Associates is seeking a CAD/BIM Specialist in Middletown, NJ to join our Design Technology Team. This role supports the development, implementation, and advancement of CAD/BIM technologies across engineering and design disciplines, with emphasis on expanding the firm’s BIM capabilities.

Responsibilities include standards development, training, and collaboration with project teams to improve digital design workflows, maintain BIM models and libraries, and ensure model governance and QA/QC

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CAD and/or BIM experience in engineering, architecture, or consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Experience with BIM implementation, standards development, model coordination, QA/QC, clash detection, and platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Experience with Revit families, templates, view templates, schedules, content libraries, and shared parameters.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Technology, Computer-Aided Design, or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret design documents, engineering markups, and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 2D/3D design documentation, BIM models, and construction deliverables using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit throughout all project phases.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and design staff to ensure accurate, coordinated, and compliant models and drawings.
• Support CAD/BIM standards, workflows, templates, model governance, and best practices across the organization.
• Maintain digital project files, BIM models, Revit families, templates, content libraries, and project deliverables.
• Perform model quality control reviews, clash detection, and drawing/model audits.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, training, and guidance related to CAD/BIM software and workflows.
• Support problem-solving, visualization, and coordination activities to develop efficient design solutions.
• Provide field support and data collection as needed.
• Help advance T&M’s BIM program through standards, content management, workflow adoption, and multidisciplinary coordination.

CAD Specialist

This position will support the development, implementation, and advancement of CAD and BIM technologies across multiple engineering and design disciplines, with a focus on expanding the firm’s BIM capabilities. T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $80,000-$103,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
