Job summary

T&M Associates is seeking a CAD/BIM Specialist for our Middletown, NJ office. You will join the Design Technology Team to advance CAD/BIM technologies and support digital design workflows across disciplines.

Responsibilities include developing BIM models and documentation, coordinating with engineers and architects, and maintaining standards and templates. A 5+ year background and strong Revit/AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CAD/BIM experience in engineering, architecture, or consulting.
• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Experience with BIM implementation, standards development, model coordination, QA/QC, clash detection, and ACC.
• Experience with Revit families, templates, view templates, schedules, content libraries, and shared parameters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 2D/3D design documentation, BIM models, and construction deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and design staff to ensure accurate, coordinated models and drawings.
• Support CAD/BIM standards, workflows, templates, model governance, and best practices across the organization.
• Maintain digital project files, BIM models, Revit families, templates, content libraries, and project deliverables.
• Perform model quality control reviews, clash detection, and drawing/model audits.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, training, and guidance related to CAD/BIM software and workflows.
• Support problem-solving, visualization, and coordination activities to develop efficient design solutions.
• Provide field support and data collection as needed.
• Help advance BIM program through standards, content management, workflow adoption, and multidisciplinary coordination.

CAD Specialist

Middletown, NJ, US

T&M Associates is seeking a motivated and technically skilled CAD/BIM Specialist to join our Design Technology Team in our Middletown, NJ office. This position will support the development, implementation, and advancement of CAD and BIM technologies across multiple engineering and design disciplines, with a focus on expanding the firm’s BIM capabilities. The role combines technical support, standards development, training, and collaboration with project teams to improve digital design workflows.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain 2D/3D design documentation, BIM models, and construction deliverables using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit throughout all project phases.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and design staff to ensure accurate, coordinated, and compliant models and drawings.
• Support CAD/BIM standards, workflows, templates, model governance, and best practices across the organization.
• Maintain digital project files, BIM models, Revit families, templates, content libraries, and project deliverables.
• Perform model quality control reviews, clash detection, and drawing/model audits.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of CAD and/or BIM experience in the engineering, architecture, or consulting industry required.
• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D required.
• Experience with BIM implementation, standards development, model coordination, QA/QC, clash detection, and platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) preferred.
• Experience with Revit families, templates, view templates, schedules, content libraries, and shared parameters preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Technology, Computer-Aided Design, or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret design documents, engineering markups, and project requirements.

T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $80,000-$103,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
