Functional Responsibilities:
- Achieve major operational KPIs.
- Ensure jobs are properly cut listed to facilitate smooth installation and minimize rework.
- Verify that machining instructions from CAD software (KCD/Plan-it or others) are error-free and functioning correctly.
- Identify and order materials and special items to prevent manufacturing and installation delays.
- Collaborate with designers to clarify any ambiguous design elements.
- Maintain and update the system (SalesForce) with all cut list projects and purchasing information.
- Report any late or incomplete designs or missing paperwork immediately to ensure availability for manufacturing.
- Ensure all parts needed for installation are clearly identified, including special orders and inventory parts.
- Coordinate the timely availability of all materials and special orders.
- Address any questions or concerns before jobs proceed to manufacturing.
- Label all job packets clearly with client name and number for easy identification.
- Read and interpret designs and plans, identifying exceptions and ensuring design feasibility.
- Maintain and update CAD and parts/machining libraries, coordinating changes across departments.
- Ensure all computer equipment is maintained, backed-up, and functioning properly.
- Keep work area organized and clean.
- Cross-train in various factory operations and software used for manufacturing equipment.
Purchasing, Production, Installation, and Sales Support:
- Work with production and installation teams to verify CAD instructions are correct.
- Review unclear jobs with sales or management.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to sales personnel to improve design accuracy.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation.
- Familiarity with computer and software usage.
- Understanding of basic math, decimals, and fractions.
- Ability to read and understand a tape measure.
- Experience in drafting, design, CAD, or enrolled in related education.
