Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a CAD Operator to produce drawing files for production, follow serialized orders, and ensure plans meet company standards. You will work with the production line and visit the home building facility to resolve print discrepancies.

The role requires 2+ years CAD experience, a high school diploma or GED (drafting degree preferred), and proficiency with AutoCAD. This is a full-time, on-site hourly position with competitive benefits.

Job Status:

Full Time / Hourly

$22-$30 (depending on experience)

Position Summary:

The CAD Operator is responsible for producing drawing files for production and submitting plans by following the serialized orders, state codes and company standards. This position will work with the production line personnel to perform root cause analysis on print discrepancies. You will be required go out into the home building facility.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Create prints using AutoCAD drawing software for layout diagrams, schematics and construction documents.


• Prepare and maintain plans for new structures and processes.


• Communicate and collaborate with production team regarding print related items.


• Communicate and collaborate with sales regarding orders.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, degree in drafting preferred.


• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.


• Experience with and general knowledge of construction standards.


• 2 or more years of experience using CAD systems.


• Excellent attention to detail.


• General understanding of construction standards and familiarity with building codes.

Must provide recent portfolio upon interview.
