Job summary

DIRECTAIR is seeking a CAD Manager to lead the development, quality, and management of engineering drawings and technical documentation.

You will establish CAD standards, templates, drawing libraries, and workflows, and manage the SOLIDWORKS PDM environment, document control, and change processes.

This role supports compressed air systems, piping, controls, equipment layouts, and installation packages while guiding cross‑functional teams to improve efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of CAD/design experience in industrial or engineered systems.
• Experience with SOLIDWORKS PDM (Vault), document control, and change processes.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD; 3D CAD experience preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, piping systems, and controls.
• Ability to lead projects and cross-functional teams; prior supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and quality of DIRECTAIR engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Establish and maintain CAD standards, templates, drawing libraries, and workflows.
• Manage the SOLIDWORKS PDM environment, including document control and change processes.
• Review and approve drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee equipment layouts, piping drawings, P&IDs, and electrical/control drawings.
• Support engineering, sales, operations, manufacturing, and field service teams.
• Manage CAD software, licensing, upgrades, and user training.
• Drive continuous improvement and design automation initiatives.
