Job summary

DEFTEC is seeking a CAD Technician to produce and maintain engineering drawings and mapping products using CAD and GIS tools in support of engineering, planning, and construction activities across SSFB and GSUs.

The role requires an associate degree or 2+ years CAD experience with strong Autodesk Civil 3D, Map 3D, AutoCAD, and Revit skills, plus solid drafting theory and data management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or postsecondary certificate in CAD/engineering tech or 2+ years CAD technician experience.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and related CAD tools.
• Knowledge of drafting principles and database management for CAD/GIS data.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain installation drawings and mapping products using CAD/GIS tools.
• Update and revise technical drawings based on specifications, field changes and markups.
• Ensure compliance with DoD A/E/C CAD standards and project standards.
• Coordinate with CAD staff to keep facility data current in CAD and GIS systems.
• Apply AEC standards to drawing content, structure, and presentation.
