Job summary
The Alderwood Water & Wastewater District is seeking a Drafting & Mapping Analyst to develop engineering project plans for capital improvement programs. You will work with engineers and operations staff, using CAD to create and update plans and GIS to produce maps for planning and analysis.
The ideal candidate has CAD, GIS, drafting, and mapping experience, plus strong communication skills. A technical degree and four years in related fields are preferred, with a valid WA driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or technical school in geography, cartography, GIS, engineering, planning, construction management, or related field.
- Four years of experience in mapping, surveying, civil engineering, planning or related field.
- Possess and maintain a Valid Washington State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update engineering plans using CAD.
- Produce maps in GIS to aid planning and analysis of the capital improvement program.
- Assist departments with mapping requests; interact with engineers, operators, and construction staff.
