Job summary

South Shore Millwork, located near Boston in Norton, MA, is seeking an experienced Engineer/CAD Drafter to translate design concepts into manufacturable millwork drawings. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to deliver accurate 2D CAD shop drawings for high-end residential and commercial projects.

Qualifications include a 3+ year CAD drafting background, proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe, and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree in architectural drafting, engineering, or related field.
3+ years of CAD drafting/engineering design in millwork or related industries.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Create and modify detailed 2D CAD drawings of custom millwork products using AutoCAD.
Produce accurate shop drawings with dimensions, materials, and assembly details.
Collaborate with engineers and project teams to select materials and finishes.
Prepare technical documentation: material lists, construction details, and assembly instructions.
Help manage project timelines by ensuring design work stays on schedule.
Identify and resolve design issues for smooth hand-off to fabrication.
Ensure drawings meet company quality standards and production capabilities.
