Job summary

Blue Origin in Cupertino, CA is seeking a CAD Engineer focused on compute and design infrastructure to enable our CAS team for high‑performance ASIC design. You will implement and maintain compute infrastructure, configure EDA environments, and support HPC deployments for large simulations.

This role requires a BS in EE/CS, 10+ years in CAD/EDA infrastructure, scripting proficiency (Python/shell/Perl/Tcl), and experience with Git/Perforce in a hardware context; cloud familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years in CAD/EDA infrastructure or semiconductor design environments.
• Experience managing compute infrastructure for semiconductor or ASIC design teams.
• Familiarity with EDA license server management (FlexLM/FlexNet).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, shell, Perl, or Tcl).
• Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce) in hardware design.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain compute infrastructure supporting CAS design and verification.
• Configure and manage EDA tool environments and license servers for CAS team.
• Support HPC clusters and storage for large-scale simulation and verification workloads.
• Implement CI systems for design validation within CAS flow.
• Monitor compute resource utilization and provide capacity planning.
• Manage EDA tool access, licensing, and version control across CAS.
• Collaborate with IT to optimize on-premise and cloud-based design environments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues impacting design team productivity.
• Develop infrastructure best practices and SOPs for CAS.
