Job summary

Gemstar Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Specialist to design, build, and repair molds, jigs, dies and fixtures for injection molding, thermal forming and related processes at our Cannon Falls, MN location.

You will work under limited supervision, use CAD tools and customer specifications, and ensure precision with tight tolerances while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years’ experience in designing and building injection or Rotomolding tools preferred.
• Proficient in Solidworks and Mastercam.
• Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Design and build molds, jigs, dies and fixtures for injection molding, rotational and related processes.
• Use CAD data and customer requirements to determine job specifications.
• Set up and operate department equipment; produce tools, molds and fixtures with tight tolerances.
• Estimate time and cost to produce molds and fixtures; document processes.
• Repair broken parts or equipment; ensure safety procedures are followed.
