Job summary

Sidump'r is seeking an Engineering Intern to support the engineering team during the 2027 internship period. Under the Engineering Manager, you will help generate detailed fabrication drawings, revise model files, and assist with design improvements for trailer and equipment manufacturing.

You will gain hands-on experience in drafting, documentation, and drawing management while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, CAD, or a related technical field.
• Prior hands-on experience or coursework proficient in SolidWorks is preferred.
• Strong passion for mechanical drafting, technical drawing, and detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and geometric dimensioning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Utilize SolidWorks to create, update, and revise 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing/assembly drawings.
• Generate detailed drafting documentation, including BOMs, welding annotations, and dimensional callouts for production lines.
• Maintain drawing standards and ensure high accuracy in engineering documentation.
• Assist engineers in investigating component fits, tolerances, and shop-floor drawing inquiries.
• Archive, organize, and manage CAD files and ECNs within the PDM system.
• Communicate with manufacturing and shop-floor personnel to gather feedback on drawing clarity and practical assembly execution.
• Align daily work with company values, quality standards, and continuous improvement goals.
• Participate in team reviews, project update meetings, and safety orientations.
