Job summary

Lexicon is seeking a CAD Drafter to convert engineering sketches into precise 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD or Tekla. You will create detailed layouts, verify design accuracy, and prepare construction documents for steel fabrication and related projects.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and designers to ensure compliance with codes and specifications, manage project files and BOMs, and support quality control in a heavy-industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years steel detailing experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Tekla.
• Ability to read shop drawings and blueprints.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Create precise technical drawings for structural steel and fabrication projects.
• Revise drawings based on engineering changes or client feedback.
• Interpret design drawings and translate to shop capabilities.
• Ensure designs meet standards, specs, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and designers to finalize layouts.
• Manage project files, BOMs, and reports.
• Work overtime and maintain punctual attendance.
