Spectrum Aquatics, a Montana-based manufacturer with 45+ years in pool equipment, seeks a CAD-focused engineer to drive production drawings and product development. You will translate concepts into detailed CAD models, collaborate with engineers and customers, and ensure designs meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes precise drafting, rigorous verification of specifications, and documentation upkeep to support manufacturing and sales teams.

Competenze

Hands-on proficiency with SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.
Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications and measurements.
Excellent spatial reasoning and mathematical accuracy.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional teams.

Mansioni

Use SolidWorks to create concept models and translate approved concepts into accurate production drawings.
Design and draft custom and standard products in accordance with company drafting standards.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, customers, and internal partners to confirm product and structural requirements.
Calculate dimensions, material requirements, weight limitations, and equipment needs.
Prepare and review sketches with the engineering team before developing final CAD designs.
Identify potential manufacturing or operational issues and revise designs to improve function, quality, and manufacturability.
Ensure final designs comply with applicable regulations, specifications, and quality standards.
Create and maintain build books, product manuals, diagrams, layouts, and step-by-step production documentation.
Generate and review bills of material for accuracy and completeness.
Review peer drawings and designs for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
Support sales with product specifications and custom-order questions, and assist engineering with new-product development and product improvements.
