Job summary

Prescott Industries seeks a CAD Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will create 2D drawings, document products and processes, and support factory operations using AutoCAD, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office.

You will work within the Technical Engineering team on doors and door components, collaborating with multiple departments to ensure accurate specifications and timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree in Drafting/Design required.
• 1+ years of industry experience preferred.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software, Autodesk preferred, and in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD drawings of doors for employees and customers using AutoCAD for all product lines.
• Interpret customer machine sheets and hardware templates.
• Create stage sheets and machine sheets for production as necessary.
• Input customer machine specification data into designated software.
• Perform thorough quality control of designs and templates.
• Communicate with customers via email/phone to clarify order details.
• Update customer orders in QuickBooks.
• Collaborate with department heads and managers to understand tasks to be accomplished by the software used.
