Job summary

SJE is seeking a Design Drafter to support the Altronex brand in Madison, WI. You will read plans and generate CAD drawings for control systems, ensuring layouts, circuits, and ladder logic are accurate and compliant with standards.

You will assist with submittals, BOMs, and manuals, while organizing CAD tasks and maintaining project documentation across Engineering and Production teams.

Qualifications

• Understanding of electrical drawings, panel layouts, circuits, and UL 508A.
• Experience creating and modifying CAD drawings in engineering or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, engineering sketches, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read plans and create accurate CAD files for custom control systems.
• Prepare drawing files for submittals, BOMs, and manuals.
• Plan, assign, and prioritize CAD work to meet schedules.
• Maintain project documentation and archives.
