Job summary

SJE is seeking an Electric Panel Builder in Madison, WI. The role involves constructing intricate electrical control panels for municipal water and wastewater systems, including layout, fabrication and wiring based on schematics.

You will work at our Madison location within the Altronex brand, supporting a range of control solutions and related services. Ideal candidates will have experience assembling and wiring panels, reading blueprints, and using common hand tools.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling and wiring control panels.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and BOMs.
• Strong electrical theory and measurement skills.
• Proficiency with hand tools (screwdrivers, drills, punches, jig saws, crimpers).

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire complex control panels per schematic diagrams.
• Lay out, fabricate and assemble panels and doors.
• Install components and complete wiring according to BOMs and drawings.
• Support quality checks and ensure safety standards on the fabrication line.
