Job summary

ESP Enterprises Inc. is seeking a CAD Drafter to support its engineering and product development teams. You will create and update drawings for piece-parts, assemblies, and cable assemblies used in new product development.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and sales to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and ready for manufacturing, with notes on BOMs and release processes.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of college or trade school in engineering drawing, CAD, drafting, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create piece-part, assembly, and cable assembly drawings based on requirements.
• Prepare layouts, detailed drawings, and supporting documentation for new and existing products.
• Update drawings per customer requests, engineering changes, and as-built requirements.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to ensure drawings include notes, BOMs, dimensions, and manufacturing information.
• Route drawings through engineering review, approval, sign-off, and release processes.
• Collaborate with engineers and other internal teams to resolve drawing and design issues.
• Verify components are properly established within ERP systems.
