Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to develop final drawings and schematics from rough sketches. You will verify dimensions, material specs, and spatial relationships within assemblies, applying engineering and manufacturing knowledge to ensure feasibility.

You will generate precise 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and DraftSight, while maintaining ISO-compliant documentation and change control.

Qualifications

• Must perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Fifth year college program certificate or 2–4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop final technical drawings and schematics, verifying dimensions, material specifications, and spatial relationships.
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering practices, mathematics, and materials science to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Execute design adjustments, revisions, and ECOs/ECNs as requested by engineering team.
• Create finished, high-precision designs, layouts, and manufacturing blueprints from rough sketches, notes, and concept models.
• Generate technical charts, diagrams, and schematics to represent data, electrical routing, or system architectures visually.
• Use CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSight) to create 2D drawings and 3D models; MS Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint as needed.
• Ensure drawing packages and workflows comply with ISO quality management standards.
• Conduct component research to identify parts meeting design constraints and project requirements.
• Maintain configuration control by tracking document histories and data baselines.
