Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) seeks an experienced CAD Designer to create technical drawings and design documentation for Switchgear Division products. You will translate engineering concepts into accurate mechanical and electrical drawings that support production.

The role requires strong 3D CAD skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a custom manufacturing environment while collaborating with Applications, Sales, and Design Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Drafting or related technical field with 5+ years in a custom manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD modeling software.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawing practices.
• Experience creating technical drawings and design documentation for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain revision control for CAD files per company procedures.
• Prepare detailed drawings with Engineers and Applications.
• Translate concepts into complete design documentation for manufacturing.
• Create mechanical and electrical design drawings and documentation.
• Maintain drawing files and suggest design improvements for cost and quality.
