Qualifications

• Reads and interprets customer documents, design specifications and data sheets for drawing implementation.
• Prepares design, pre-buy, and sales sketches, and identifies unclear areas needing clarification.
• Creates accurate “to scale” fabrication drawings, completes “as-built” and certified drawings, and prepares weld maps.
• Assists shop and sales personnel regarding drawing interpretation and design concepts; participates in customer teleconferences.
• Completes drawings, electronic transmittals, and spare parts lists; delivers drawings to Manufacturing.
• Reviews and redlines quotes and data sheets; maintains up-to-date project files and documentation.
• Prepares heat code charts for Quality Control to track heat numbers.
• Attends weekly Engineering meetings; reports progress and provides estimates of drawing completion.
• Contacts vendors to gather component design information for drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepares heat code charts for QC to track heat numbers.
• Attends weekly Engineering meetings and reports progress to the Design Supervisor.
• Contacts vendors to obtain component design information for drawings.
