Job summary

BILT Incorporated is seeking a CAD Designer 2 for the CAD Operations team within the 3D Instruction Engineering Department. This hands-on role requires strong SolidWorks proficiency to create and prepare animation-ready 3D CAD assets that support BILT 3D Intelligent Instructions.

You will collaborate with 3D Animators, Instructional Designers, QA, and Engineering leadership to ensure accurate models and efficient workflows for complex assembly procedures.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required to access sensitive project data.
• 4–6 years of professional design-for-manufacturing experience.
• Expert in SolidWorks with solid and surface modeling.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer CAD against source docs for completeness.
• Modify CAD assets to enable animation and production readiness.
• Create 3D CAD assets from 2D drawings and references.
• Perform reverse engineering to generate simple CAD assets.
• Plan and manage multiple CAD projects to meet deadlines.
• Export CAD in required configurations for the production pipeline.
• Travel to onsite visits with two weeks' notice when needed.
