Job summary

BILT Incorporated is seeking a CAD Designer 2 for its CAD Operations Team located at the Grapevine Brand Support Center in Texas. The candidate must be a US citizen, able to travel for onsite visits on two weeks’ notice, and bring 4–6 years of design-for-manufacturing experience with a strong Solidworks background.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• 4–6 years of professional design for manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Design or related field desirable.
• Experience with multiple materials and manufacturing methods (wood, plastic, sheet metal).
• Proficient with reading manuals and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Generate 3D CAD assets from customer provided drawings or references.
• Modify CAD assets to facilitate animation and separation of components.
• Create simple 3D assets from product references (reverse engineering).
• Evaluate assembly processes for potential user challenges during assembly.
