Job summary

Maxcess is seeking an Experienced CAD Designer to design slitting systems. You will create 2D/3D drawings, prototype and simulate designs, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaboration with engineers and project teams is essential, as is mentoring Level One CAD Designers.

Expect travel to customer sites (approx. 10%), support installations, and provide on-site measurements and drawings. Requires 2–5 years of related experience and a CAD-focused technical certification or associate

Qualifications

• 2–5 yrs related experience
• Associate’s degree or Technical Certification in CAD Drafting & Design required
• Competent with Windows OS and Microsoft Office
• Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks
• Ability to create complex 3D models and detailed 2D drawings
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Create complex 2D/3D CAD drawings for slitting systems.
• Prototype, simulate and validate designs against requirements and standards.
• Develop detailed layouts, schematics, and part drawings.
• Review and modify designs based on feedback and testing results.
• Mentor Level One CAD Designers and share best practices.
• Coordinate with project teams to meet deadlines and facilitate field measurements.
