Our client, a world leader in semiconductors, is looking for a CAD Designer / Drafter based out of Milpitas, CA.

Job Duration: Long-Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Rate: $35-$37/hr on W2

Summary:

In this role, you will support engineering teams in creating and modifying detailed mechanical drawings and documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD drafting experience, a solid understanding of engineering standards, and the ability to support product design changes throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify detailed engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Develop drawings from engineering sketches, layouts, and design notes.
• Review and verify drawing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with drafting standards.
• Support engineering change processes, including ECN/ECR documentation updates.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure model accuracy and design intent are properly documented.

Required Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of CAD drafting or mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
• Experience creating and revising detailed engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation, revision control, and change management processes (ECN/ECR).
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics, medical device, or high‑tech manufacturing environments would be a plus.
